This 1966 Ford Mustang GT Coupe is a rust free car displaying extreme originality. The car was in storage in Arkansas since 1977 before acquisition and relocation to Montana. The car was acquired by a true Ford enthusiast who subjected the car to a complete disassembly and high end restoration. The gentleman, now deceased, was a die-cast artisan and his attention to detail was unparalleled.
When the car was apart, all components were thoroughly cleaned and all body panels were stipped down to bare metal. To maintain originality, the code correct Sauterne Gold Color was professionally applied. This striking color actually displays a beautiful green hue, and all brightwork presents well. The glass is in very good condition and the rear window louvre adds a sporting touch.
The Pony Interior is all original as is the headliner, and carpet. While not perfect, the interior presents very well. Following the re-paint, new window and door seals were applied. The car is equipped with Factory Air Conditioning, remote control mirrors, power brakes and the original AM Radio with Stereo 66 Reverb System!
The matching numbers 289 V-8 and C-4 automatic transmission were both re-freshed with new seals and gaskets. A new factory dual exhaust system was installed, the brakes were re-done, new shocks all around and much more. The engine runs smooth and strong.
This is a highly optioned car with the color, factory air conditioning, GT option and more. This combination of options makes this a very low production number car!
