1959 Ford Thunderbird
- Numbers Matching 430 Lincoln V-8
- 3-Speed Cruise-O-Matic Transmission
- High end older restoration presents very well
- All new interior 8 years ago
This 1959 Ford Thunderbird was bought new in Hollywood, California. It was purchased with a loan from the Screen Actors Guild Credit Union by Harry Crane who
was an American comedy writer who helped to create the concept for The Honeymooners and its signature characters as well as writing screenplays for movies starring the likes of Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello and Judy Garland.
The car was subjected to a complete high-end restoration a number of years ago, and still presents extremely well today. The paint shows very well attesting to the prep work on the car during the rebuild. The like-new interior was installed 8 years ago and really adds to the stately nature of this Thunderbird. All components work on the car and the car maintains factory brakes and suspension. The chrome and bright-work present well, with normal age showing on the chrome. An aftermarket radio is currently installed with the radio original to the car included.
The underside of the car shows extremely well, again attesting to the quality of the restoration. This car is very enjoyable to drive with the 430 Lincoln V-8 and the 3sp Cruise-o-Matic transmission powering the car with vigor.
This is your chance to own a beautiful Thunderbird with some Hollywood credentials!
