1967 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500

This is an inboard head light car with original vin coded 4 speed top loader built in April of 1967.  This car was selected by Ford Motor Global and Carroll Shelby Motors to be featured in their display at SEMA 2010 and autographed by Carroll Shelby himself.  This car is Shelby #1876 listed in the Shelby Registry and is documented through a Deluxe Marti Report. It comes with build sheet and shipping/delivery order to Dallas Hall Ford in Iowa.  It was purchased by the current owner as a one owner car in 1998 and underwent a complete restoration.

The power plant is a freshly overbored 427 CI C5AEH Sideoiler now at 496 CI and producing roughly 600HP. THIS IS A TRANSPLANTED MOTOR.  No expense was spared..balanced, blue printed, ported, polished,  lined bored, internally coated, TRW forged aluminum pistons, Eagle H frame rods, Perfect Circle Moly Rings, Crane   Hydraulic Roller Cam, Erson aluminum roller rockers and roller lifters and push rods..Extra heavy duty rocker shafts and springs with hardened valve guided. High volume oil pump and high pressure fuel pump.  Everything is internally and externally bolted with ARP bolts.  Original BK/BJ dual quad Holly carbs with original aluminum Autolite numbered tags. Carbs and linkage all rebuilt and concourse plated by Pony Carburetors inc..ATI 50 ounce harmonic damper/balancer, Shelby aluminum high volumn water pump and Shelby aluminum timing cover.  Engine comes with C5 date coded to engine dual non vac distributor with Petronix electronic ignition…will supply original dual point autolite internals.  Fan and fan clutch are also date coded to engine and in perfect working condition.  Edlebrock Competition aluminum heads attached to ceramic coated Hooker Competition Plus Headers vented through custom 4 inch stainless crossover exhaust system with stainless webbed anti vibration couplers and Flowmaster 40 mufflers. The nigh nickle (Z) bell housing covers a Center Force Dual Friction Clutch attached to a custom Six States 4″ balanced driveshaft which drives the original recently rebuilt 3:50 SPEC SHELBY Trac Loc 31 spline differential. 

Original date coded C7 radiator with stamp rebuilt from 3 to 4 row. From bumper to bumper this car has all parts rebuilt and or replaced with NOS or concourse approved parts from all wiring harnesses to upholstery and interior to seat belts restored by Ssnake Oyyle, master cylinder, brake booster, brake and fuel lines, even windshield wipers.  All  chrome and stainless is impeccable.

All instruments were rebuilt and re-calibrated by professionals including the clock and am/8 track..all new suspension, springs front and rear, tie rods etc..Koni replica shocks, four brand new BF Goodrich RWL tires including matching spare on a 10 spoke wheel. Car has functioning lower brake cooling scoops and Traction Master ™ traction bars.  This car even has the original rear tie down brackets on the rear springs that were usually disposed of after arriving at the dealership…the lower part of the rear drivers quarter panel was replaced by the first owner but with original Ford sheet metal..all glass is original to the car with the exception of the front windshield but replaced with correct glass.  

The car drives and handles as new.  Car also comes with original owners manual, a 1967 Ford Shop manual, an ash tray full of 1967
 quarters..1967 green Utah license plates..a 1967 DAV mini key fob..a 1967 Utah Highway Patrol window inspection sticker..and an original 1967 green and white high school graduation tassel hanging from the rear view mirror…Provided by Jeff White of Jostins Inc.
