1956 Chevrolet BelAir Two Door Hardtop
The VIN tag on the Door Pillar shows this car to be a BelAir equipped with a V-8. This car has been modified with the installation of a SBC 350 V-8 and TH 350 Transmission. The front suspension has been rebuilt with new A arms and bushings and disk brakes have been installed on all 4 wheels. The car rides on Custom Wheels and Tires which show very well. New wiring is present under the hood, under the dash and through to the trunk.
The interior of the car has been gutted with the exception of a front seat which is present and the dash which is complete. The floors appear to be original with very minimal pinholes present on the passenger side front floor board. The trunk area is very solid. The glass appears original to the car with the windshield in need of attention. The body has had a re-paint to the current red and white two tone. All trim is present on the car and in good condition. The bumpers show well and are in good condition.
Mechanically the 350 motor runs very well. Though sitting for a period of time, the key was turned and started right up!
This car is in it’s present condition needing completion due to the very unfortunate and untimely falling ill and passing recently of the gentleman who spent years acquiring the vehicle and performing the work on it. His passion was acquiring parts and pieces to his dream car and doing the work when all the parts were present. His widow is making the car available to someone to take it to the finish-line.
The lucky high bidder will get a VIN correct BelAir, a solid body, a strong motor, upgraded braking and suspension…a car very close to completion.
