1955 Chevrolet 210 2-Door Custom
Restored from a dry California example with a pedestrian 6-cylinder engine, this stunner was hand crafted into a beautiful classic with modern performance and an eye-catching paint scheme that screams ‘look at me!’ The NOS fenders and a new hood completed the new metal necessary, while under the hood is a professionally rebuilt 350 cid Vortex V-8 fitted with custom headers and a glass pack exhaust. The Cadillac 700R/4 transmission with overdrive allows effortless freeway driving, while the air shocks provide a dream-like ride. American Racing Mags are the perfect touch, but the 100 mph flames are the literal cherry on top of a perfect sundae. Disc brakes offer great stopping power and the custom black Naugahyde interior is a sight to behold, especially with the sound system with CD player, custom steering column and wheel. A real delight, this is a perfectly sorted hot rod that can be driven anywhere in the country without concern.
Auction Estimate: $27,000-30,000
The owner states:
“When I was younger, I made a list of cars I wanted to have. This car was #4 on that list and is a car I that I wanted when I was in high school. Of course, I didn’t have any money then, but when I got older and was able to afford it, I bought this car out of California and had it shipped to Utah. Originally it had a 6 cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. I pulled these out and installed a 350 Chevy with a Cadillac 700R4 transmission with overdrive. I installed disk brakes on the front. Being from a dry climate, it had very little rust! The front fenders are N.O.S. with a new hood. It has 60’s style Mag wheels. The car is painted red and white with 100 mile an hour flames pinstriped in blue. It has an Ididit tilt steering column with a custom steering wheel with flame inserts. It has a CD stereo system and Black Naugahyde interior. The side windows and rear windows are tinted. This is an old school hot rod!”
