1974 Jeep CJ5

VIN:  J4F835TA65928

- One Owner Car
- Excellent Original Condition
- 258ci Inline 6 Cylinder Engine
- 3 Speed Manual Transmission
- A very nice Survivor

In 1944, Willys Overland produced a prototype for a commercial version of the famed military Jeep.  Named the CJ for "Civilian Jeep", the iconic automobile remained in production with the CJ moniker until 1986.  Through a range of model names and several corporate parents, more than 1.5 million Jeeps were produced presenting the same basic body style.  Jeep CJs are considered the most successful utility vehicle ever made and is widely known as "America's Workhorse".

The Jeep presented at auction is untouched and 100% original.  It has benefited from single ownership since new, with the owner taking excellent care of this CJ.  The odometer shows 57,316 miles and are believed to be original.

The floorboards are solid and the original paint still shows well after 46 years.  The white top is original to the Jeep and the upholstery is reported to be original too!  The body does show some "character" bumps consistent with enjoying the Jeep for what it was designed for.  However, the overall original condition of this CJ5 is very impressive.

Mechanically this Jeep is in great running and driving condition.  The optional 258ci inline 6 runs great and the 4 wheel drive system works as expected.  With completely original suspension, this Jeep drives just like a CJ5!  New to the Jeep include the following:

- New Fuel Pump
- New Heater Hoses
- New Distributor and Plug Wires
- New Starter
- New Brake Master Cylinder
- New Exhaust
- New Tires
- New Black Top in Box
