In 2007, Shelby Automobiles introduced a Super Snake package available to owners of the stock Ford Mustang GT 500. This package of upgrades made a great car even better! Over the next three years, Ford Racing and Shelby Autos dialed in an even more aggressive suspension, engine and body package for the 2010 car. This propelled the Super Snake to the pinnacle of the current generation of muscle cars!
The car presented at auction is a Certified Shelby Super Snake, completed at Shelby American Facility, Las Vegas in 2010. Carroll Shelby was still alive in 2010, and personally autographed this Super Snake's dash board. This Super Snake is registered in Shelby American's Super Snake database as Super Snake #80 (of 500 projected, 2010 Super Snakes), with the collector vehicle CSM #: 10SS0080.
In building this car, the top Super Snake Package was selected. Every Super Snake Option available was installed on this car with over $50,000 invested AFTER the Mustang GT500 was delivered to Shelby Automotive. This car presented at auction is as follows:
