VIN: C7MEXC100532
Initially introduced as the flagship of the full-size Ford range, the Fairlane was produced and marketed from 1955 to 1970. Taking its name from the Dearborn, Michigan estate of Henry Ford, the Fairlane replaced the Crestline as Ford's premier full-sized offering. The second generation of the Fairlane, (1957-1959) gave a new style with a longer, wider, lower, and sleeker look with low tailfins. The new proportions and modern styling were a hit with customers to the extent that the Ford outsold Chevrolet in 1957 for the first time since 1935!
The Ford Fairlane Convertible presented at auction is a unique example having been assembled in Mexico with a VIN/Data Plate providing verification. The car was subjected to a complete, frame off restoration in the early 2000's and still presents exceptionally well today
