This beautiful car is presented at auction from the Jim McCall Collection of Classic Cars.  Jim McCall was a builder, renowned for quality and attention to detail in everything he did.  First and foremost, he was a builder of family, empowering his children to succeed in their endeavors.  Second to that, he built a very successful real estate development company, With McCall homes being highly regarded in the region for innovative community design and environmentally sustainable construction.

Beyond family and business, Jim McCall was a builder of cars.  Applying that same focus on quality and attention to detail in their restoration, Jim and his group of lifelong friends (calling themselves “Triers” for their affinity to three deuces atop their engines) built some incredible cars. Each “Trier” sought to outdo the others in their builds, producing many exceptional cars well known in the Northern Rockies classic and collector car community!

Jim’s collection is highly respected!  “Good enough” was not acceptable and nothing was left unfinished. His work on cars was not for profit or for accolades, but rather to bring the past alive with a statement! Following Jim’s passing while doing what he loved best, his family is making this car available at auction. The information presented below is from one of Jim’s children who, while growing up, was present during many of the builds.  Unfortunately, attention was often elsewhere at the time.  His main task during these builds was bead blasting the bucket of bolts, fasteners and other items removed from the cars during restoration.  As mentioned…attention to detail was key!

This true 1969 Pace Car was acquired in the mid to late 90's as a high school vehicle for Jim's daughter.  Fortunatley, it survived high school unscathed!  A few years later, in 2010, the car was subjected to a complete rebuild in 2010.  Built to the same exacting standards as all of Jim's cars, this one really stands out!  As a true Z11 code car, it was restored to exacting colors indicated on the Data Tag.

The body shows exceptionally well with straight body panels and precise body lines.  The Dover White paint was enhanced with flecks of pearl and the color correct striping provides that stunning Pace Car look.  The factory correct Orange Houndstooth interior distinguishes this Camaro from the rest of the field and the car benefits from new body and interior components to factory specifications.  All chrome an d stainless was either replaced with new or re-chromed, placing this car is a quality class of its own.  The car sits on American Racing Wheels for a perfect stance on the road.

Under the hood is a true Alpha Tiger!  A Big Block Chevy 454 was professionally built to exacting standard.  It was bored .060 over to 502 ci displacement and upgraded with a Competition Cam and Edelbrock components.  All this provides an estimated 600hp of raw muscle!  The headers and dual exhaust provide that distinctive sound that will capture the attention of everyone within earshot! Mated to a T-10 4 Speed Manual Transmission and enhanced with an upgraded clutch, this Camaro is a pleasure to drive!

The fit and finish under the hood really stands out.  The aluminum heads, chrome valve covers and chrome components, all maintained to a high shine, adds to the allure of the car.  This Pace Car is the “complete package” with no detail lacking!  An exceptional addition to any collection or garage!
